TEACHER BIO
My name is Mischa Shimek and I am a music teacher based in Anchorage Alaska. I obtained my B.M. in Music Performance and Education with emphasis in Classical Guitar from the University of Alaska Anchorage. I am also a board member of the Anchorage Classical Guitar Society which aims to bring the community together in guitar and appreciation of classical guitar through education and performance.
I look to make music education an important part of life here in anchorage and want to also share the joy of playing classical music through the guitar and other styles of music related to the guitar. I also give beginning music lessons in Piano, Mandolin, and Ukulele.
